The Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) has finally left the National Super Alliance (Nasa).

The declaration was made by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who said the party’s National Executive Council unanimously ratified the decision.

“Today we held our Party National Executive Council meeting where a unanimous decision was taken to pull out of the NASA coalition,” he said.

Kalonzo noted that Wiper will now focus on One Kenya Alliance (OKA) whose leaders are him, ANC boss Musalia Mudavadi, Kanu chairman Gideon Moi and Ford-Kenya’s Moses Wetangula.

ANC and Ford-Kenya have also indicated that they will pull out the coalition, leaving Raila Odinga’s ODM in isolation.

The coalition stands dissolved if three partners leave

The Wiper leader extended an olive branch to Raila to join OKA.

“While exiting NASA we welcome ODM to join OKA for a more inclusive coalition as we prepare to form the next Government . Jubilee continues as our cooperation partner,” he said.

Wiper, ANC and Ford-Kenya have been protesting ODM’s refusal to share the political parties funds, a concern that triggered the divorce.

However, ODM leader Raila today, 26th June, announced that his party had resolved to end the dispute.

“Our party has deliberated internally and resolved that, without prejudice, we share with our coalition partners ODM’s share of monies from Political Parties,” the former Prime Minister said.

But even with the Orange outfit’s renege, it looks mission impossible to salvage Nasa.
