Wiper party still consulting about joining Azimio

Wiper party says it’s is in consultation to offer a final statement on the way forward to joining Azimio which will only happen under a structured dialogue.

Addressing the media at Stoni Athi in Machakos County, the party’s Secretary General, Robert Mbui, said the only reason why Kalonzo decided to run for the presidency was because Azimio was picking its running mate through an opaque process.

Mbui said they are still weighing their options but should the offer tabled before them by the coalition party turn out to be dismal, they are willing to support Kalonzo to vie for the presidency.

Ukambani leaders led by Kitui governor, Charity Ngilu and Makueni’s Kivutha Kibwana while in Machakos last week pleaded with Kalonzo to join Azimio and accept the offer given to him by the Coalition party’s presidential hopeful, Raila Odinga.
