MyMovies.Africa is onboard as one of the sponsors for the event.
The Women in Film Awards (WIFA) ceremony is scheduled to take place on International Women’s Day, Wednesday 9th March.
WIFA aims at bringing women filmmakers in Kenya together to provide a space where the diversity of women’s voices, stories and creativity is equally recognized and celebrated. The initiative honours outstanding women filmmakers who have contributed to the growth of the film industry by producing films of high quality.
MyMovies.Africa – the Kenyan-made digital cinema extension, as one of the sponsors of the event, will sponsor the Categories of “Best Newcomer Producer” and “Best Producer in Film”.

This year’s event will honour 22 women out of 100 nominees.
Event agency Phat Productions will produce the WIFA 2022 ceremony.
