‘Young, Famous and African’ tops Kenya’s ‘Top 10 TV’ this week

Young, Famous and African sits at the top of this week’s watch list as it debuts at number one on the Netflix Kenya Top 10 list. The unscripted African reality TV show premiered on Netflix on March 18th.

The show stars Khanyi Mbau, Annie Macaulay-Idibia, Innocent “2baba” Idibia, Nadia Nakai, Swanky Jerry, Zari “The Boss Lady”, Naked DJ, Kayleigh Schwark, and Andile Ncube. Tanzanian music star Diamond and Ugandan socialite Zari who made their Netflix debut on the show, have been the talk of Twitter since the show’s release.

According to the Netflix Top 10 website, Young, Famous and African also holds the number one spot in Nigeria and South Africa, where the show was filmed. The show is also in the Top 10 in Jamaica and the Bahamas.

The reality series shares the Top 10 in Kenya alongside Queen of the South, Season 5, L.A.’s Finest, Season 2 Pieces of HerFormula 1: Drive to Survive, Season 4, Inventing Anna, Bad Vegan: Fame. Fraud. Fugitives, Top Boy, Season 2, L.A.’s Finest, Season 1 and Business Proposal.
