23-year-old man arrested with G3 rifle stolen from police station, KDF uniform

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Siaya on Sunday arrested a 23-year-old suspect and recovered a firearm reportedly stolen from a police station last year.
Kelvin Oduor Onyango was nabbed during the covert operation conducted by the DCI sleuths based in the county.
A G3 rifle stolen from the Umala Police Post in late 2019 as well as 13 rounds of ammunition were recovered during the sting operation.
One Kenya Army trouser, a police raincoat and a smoke jacket were also confiscated from the scene.
The suspect is presently in lawful custody as further investigations continue.
