Many don’t know that gospel artiste Sifa Favor was once a street kid.

Kenyan gospel sensation Sifa Favor famed for his single ‘Mimi Na Wewe’ celebrated his birthday in a grand way. It has been his greatest achievement to feed 30,000 street children in 43 countries. Through his foundation and with support from well wishers Sifa has toured 43 counties, fed 30,000 children, rescued 7,000, provided self employment opportunities for 550, reunited 2,650 with their families and is currently training 104 of them.

The soft spoken Sifa said, “I was once a street boy and I do this to transform lives because someone transformed mine. I just love to see people happy and smiling because of me. Am grateful to God for this opportunity to transform lives and put smiles on their faces. Someone took a chance with me, and today I am honoured to celebrate my 30th year with an achievement of feeding 30,000 street kids.”

The former street kid came into the music industry two years ago with a collaboration featuring the legendary gospel singer Mbuvi. He is currently in the studio working on his music  that will not only transform the lives of street kids but the rest of the people as well. He is also set to open a home where he will be able to bring these street kids together and start a training centre that will see them equipped with self sustaining skills.
