Excitement as Karua, Munya and Moi Arrive at KICC For Unveiling of Raila Running Mate

All eyes are at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) in Nairobi where Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party presidential candidate Raila is expected to name his running mate.

Two of three candidates who were shortlisted for the position have arrived at the venue ahead of the big announcement.

Narc-Kenya party leader Martha Karua and Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter arrived a few minutes to 11am.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who is the other potential running mate, had not shown up at the time of filling this report.

Kanu chairman Gideon Moi, a close ally of Kalonzo, is also at the KICC.

At the weekend, Kalonzo met Gideon though details of their talks were not revealed.

Wiper insists that Kalonzo must be given the position failure to which it will bolt out of Azimio.

However, àll signs indicate that Karua or Munya will be picked to deputise Raila. This is aimed at ensuring that the Mt Kenya region feels it will be part of the next government.
