CCTV Captures Daylight Robbery at Business Premises

Oblivious of the CCTV camera capturing his every move, the man expertly picked the lock and managed to open the bunk ajar. He proceeded to kneel down and sneaked inside.

His brazen execution of the mission has left many Kenyans online shocked as to the motive behind the daylight robbery. The suspect is still at large.

The incident mirrors two women who were recently caught stealing from a local supermarket in Uasin Gishu County.

The CCTV captured the two women red-handed stealing essential food items. They wore long, flowing skirts which they used to expertly conceal the stolen goods within seconds of taking them off the shelves.

In what seemed to be a coordinated approach, they were seen taking cooking oil and rice, and tried to throw security off their trail by browsing various items in the supermarket.

There has been a number of crime cases on the rise despite in 2020 (from 13,954 in 2019 to 8,709 – a drop in 37.6 per cent), according to survey by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics.
