Kenny Rogers last dying thoughts were noble (Photo)

The family of famed country music singer Kenny Rogers has announced he is dead.

His family through his twitter account announced his passing on saying;

“The Rogers family is sad to announce that Kenny Rogers passed away last night at 10:25PM at the age of 81. Rogers passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family.”

His last tweet before he died was about a project he was involved in to help children.

11 days before his death Kenny tweeted,

“We Are The World.” A special experience I loved 35 years ago & think of often. The first night of recording studio tracks (1/22/85) took place at my Lion Share Recording Studio in L.A. This original sheet music belongs to Ken Kragen, who managed me then & organized the event.”

He shared a rare photo of music sheet used to record the iconic collabo that featured the world’s greats.

May he rest in peace.

The family will have a small private service due to the national COVID-19 emergency, and a public memorial planned for a later date.
