A section of Jubilee nominated members of Kirinyaga County Assembly stormed out of a meeting convened to discuss the pending impeachment motion against the County Governor Ann Waiguru.
Seven MCAs walked out of the meeting in a huff claiming that they were being coerced to sign a petition withdrawing their signatures in support of the motion which has given the governor a sleepless night.
The MCAs were summoned to the meeting at the Governor’s residence in Kangaru area by Kirinyaga Jubilee Party branch where they were to discuss the impeachment motion against Governor Ann Waiguru.
According to the MCAs who talked to press under the condition of anonymity the meeting was characterized by threats and intimidations.
