Just some hours after some of the leaders Allied to Deputy President William Ruto were axed from the Parliament positions, vocal Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has revealed that he has also received a letter announcing his ouster plans.
Taking to his Facebook account on Wednesday afternoon, Kuria, who is also a close ally of the DP, posted a letter he allegedly received from the newly appointed Parliament Majority Whip, who is also Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe.
In the letter, Wangwe informed Moses Kuria that Jubilee party was intending to discharge him from the Transport, Public Works and Housing Committee duties.
The letter went ahead to give Kuria seven days to respond to the letter before the party could make the final decision.
“It is well with my soul” stated Kuria who is also a big fan and follower of the Deputy President Ruto from the Mt. Kenya region.
The letter comes just a day after the former National Assembly Majority Whip Benjamin Washiali and his deputy Cecily Mbarire were shown the door on Tuesday during a parliamentary meeting held at the State House.
The two were replaced by Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe and Igembe North MP Maoka Maore respectively.
At the same time, President Uhuru appointed Amos Kimunya to serve as the Secretary of the Jubilee Coalition Joint Parliamentary Group.
The PG meeting was also attended by Deputy President Dr William Ruto who is also the Jubilee Coalition’s Deputy Party Leader, Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju and a total of 212 Members of Parliament.
Parliament Majority leader Aden Duale, however, escaped the purge after an alleged meeting between the DP and the president that saw the decision to axe him reversed.
Kuria, together with a section of leaders allied to the DP have been accused of undermining Presidet Uhuru, who is also the party’s leader and in the process, derailing the president’s Big Four Agenda
