Officers moved in reshuffle: The Standard

The National Police Service has undertaken a fresh reshuffle that has seen at least six senior police officers moved to different departments.

The Director of Police Operations James Mwaniki has been moved to the planning department in the same capacity.
Mwaniki has replaced Peter Ndungu, who has taken over the Kenya Railways police command. Ndungu has replaced Jostine Barmao who moves to the office of the Inspector General.
Titus Ndungu will be the new head of operations at the Kenya Airports Police Unit in Nairobi.

Nyanza regional police boss Noah Mwivanda has been moved to Eastern region in the same capacity. Railways Head of Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Jane Karanja has been moved to police headquarters. She has been replaced by Kisii regional head Geoffrey Kathurima.
At the DCI, more than 60 junior officers have been affected by the changes. Police stations within the city that have been affected include Gigiri, Kasarani and DCI Headquarters along Kiambu Road.
Sources at police headquarters termed the changes normal service operations.
