Residents complain about deadly Roads

Residents in Chebunyo Ward, Bomet County, have complained about the area’s inadequate road network.

Locals say that the situation has been exacerbated by torrential rains, which have rendered the roads inaccessible.

“Our children have a hard time accessing their schools. Transporting goods to the market has become a nightmare,” said Gilbert Koech.

Images obtained by this writer show folks wandering on the muddy road’s edge and motorbike riders wading through stagnant water.

“We call upon our leaders to move with speed and ensure that our roads are well maintained,” said another resident. 

Chebunyo is one of the six wards of Bomet county’s Chepelungu constituency.
