Security Bouncer Tortures Man to Death Over Broken Glass



A man lost his life on Friday night after an ugly encounter with a security bouncer in a club in Ruaka, Kiambu County.

Brian Macharia reportedly broke a glass and had an argument with one of the staff at Wingu Bistro club.

According to CCTV footage seen by, the bar worker be seen leaving the kitchen area and coming back with a bouncer.

The bouncer started beating Macharia, who looked intoxicated, before pushing him out of the club.

At this point, some of those who were in the club tried to intervene, but they were unsuccessful.

More bouncers came and blocked anyone who wanted to help the victim.

Outside the club, which has rented on the sixth floor of a tall building, the bouncer continued assaulting helpless Macharia. His shirt had been torn apart and was bleeding profusely.

Later, the bartender locked the deceased in the club’s store.

From there, his body was found on the ground floor of the building, with eye-witnesses revealing he was thrown out from the sixth floor.

His father said he had multiple injuries in the waste, hands, and legs.

Kiambaa sub-county police commander Phineas Rigera said three suspects have been apprehended. They are; the club owner, a bouncer, and a staff.

He added that the police were pursuing more people, who could have been involved.

The club’s license has also been suspended.

The incident happened at midnight, raising questions on whether the police have been implementing the curfew.

President Uhuru Kenyatta directed that all entertainment joints and eateries should be closed at 9 pm, one hour before the commencement of the nationwide curfew.
