During the public viewing of the late former President Mwai Kibaki’s body outside parliament today, a man from Bungoma caused a scene.

In a video seen by Litkenya.com, a man named as Allan Makana went to the parliament buildings to pay his respects, but before he could be allowed to see Kibaki’s body, he was overtaken by emotions and began crying uncontrollably,

As he claimed to be Kibaki’s distant grandchild, Allan is heard in his antics questioning why his putative grandfather had died too young.

He implored the authorities, “Allow me to see him one last time. He is my president; he provided me with a free education.”

The body of the late former Head of State is currently on display in parliament for public viewing, which began on Monday, April 25 and will end tomorrow, Wednesday, April 27.

A national funeral service will take place at Nyayo stadium on Friday, April 29th, prior to his burial on Saturday.

The government has declared Friday a national holiday in honour of the 90-year-old former leader.
